Job summary

Viatris is seeking an Engineering Technician to support manufacturing and packaging line equipment in a GMP environment. The role focuses on preventive and breakdown maintenance, ensuring high reliability and adherence to SOPs.

Ideal candidates will have a mechanical or electrical qualification and hands-on experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with a willingness to work rotating shifts. Viatris offers a collaborative culture and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Senior trade qualification or national diploma/degree in mechanical or electrical.
• 3 years post-qualification experience desirable.
• Hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of high-speed filling in manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical role is considered an advantage.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift cycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the operation of the manufacturing process and/or the packaging line equipment.
• Maximise performance, output and reliability of the equipment by means of preventive and breakdown support.
• Adhere to SOPs and Work Procedures for operation and safe running of equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and GMP during maintenance work and storage areas.
• Communicate information to management and staff in Engineering and other departments; notify problems and repair times.
• Carry out scheduled service on plant equipment.
• Carry out electrical service and mechanical installation.
• Support continuous improvement activities on site.
