Job summary

Veolia Group in Ireland seeks an Instrumentation & Controls Technician to support the safe, compliant operation of site utilities, HVAC and control assets in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

You will perform maintenance, calibration, fault-finding and improvement across Siemens BMS systems and ABB drives, using CMMS, P&IDs and electrical drawings to ensure GMP compliance and reliability.

Qualifications

• recognised trade qualification in Instrumentation, Electrical Instrumentation, Electrical or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience in instrumentation, controls or maintenance technician role.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical or similarly regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation and control systems
• Calibrate and verify transmitters, sensors and indicators for process parameters
• Test control loops, sequences, alarms and safety interlocks
• Maintain and troubleshoot Siemens BMS and ABB drives
• Support installation, commissioning and handover of new/modified systems
• Use CMMS to review, prioritise and close work orders and maintain GMP records
• Coordinate with utilities, engineering, operations and contractors
• Maintain critical spares and document maintenance activities
