Job summary

Veolia Ireland is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Technician to join the site utilities team at Blanchardstown. You will maintain and calibrate instrumentation and control assets in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, with emphasis on Siemens S7/BMS systems and ABB variable speed drives.

The role involves fault finding, preventive maintenance, documentation in CMMS, and collaboration with engineering, quality and operations to ensure GMP-compliant performance and energy

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Instrumentation or Electrical Instrumentation.
• 3+ years post-qualification experience in instrumentation/controls.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing.
• HVAC fault-finding across plant and instrumentation.
• Hands-on BMS experience with Siemens.
• Experience with ABB variable speed drives.
• Experience with Siemens BMS engineering tools.
• HVAC commissioning, balancing, energy optimization.
• Knowledge of clean and black utility systems.
• CMMS, calibration management and documentation experience.
• Electrical safety, permit-to-work, lockout/tagout training.
• Understanding of control loops, signals, interlocks and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, calibration, inspection and repair of instrumentation and control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve faults on HVAC control systems and BMS.
• Monitor Siemens building management and control systems, alarms and trends.
• Configure and troubleshoot ABB variable speed drives.
• Calibrate transmitters, sensors and indicators; verify critical parameters.
• Use CMMS to manage work orders and maintenance history.
• Support installation, commissioning and qualification of new systems.
• Coordinate with utilities, engineering, operations and suppliers.
