Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Client-Side Design Manager to lead and coordinate design activities for Athlone OSD manufacturing expansions. As Owner's Representative, you will oversee multidisciplinary design teams and ensure delivery aligns with GMP, business objectives, schedules and budgets.

You will drive procurement, tendering, and interfacing with the EPCM partner, vendors, and legal teams to advance packages from design completion to award.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 15+ years delivering pharmaceutical or life sciences capital projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams in GMP environments.
• Experience overseeing EPCM project delivery models.
• Strong client-side leadership on large capital programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead client-side design activities for major pharmaceutical capital projects.
• Coordinate architectural, process, mechanical, electrical, automation, civil, structural, and clean utility design disciplines.
• Lead and support internal work package owners, engineering teams, and SMEs throughout the design lifecycle.
• Manage external engineering consultants, EPCM partners, and vendors.
• Oversee procurement and tendering through to contract award, from design packages to market engagement.
• Ensure project scope aligns with approved business case and manufacturing strategy.
• Manage design schedules and ensure milestones are met to support timelines.
• Support capital budget planning and cost control during the design phase.
