Job summary

Arcadis DPS Group seeks a Senior Process Engineer to lead development of production processes and plant improvements within pharmaceutical and life science buildings. Based in our Dublin or Cork office, you'll provide technical expertise to projects and mentor junior engineers.

You will drive process design, calculations, documentation, and safety compliance while collaborating with A&E teams, vendors, and clients to deliver high-quality outcomes. Fluent English required.

Qualifications

• Education: a higher technical degree in Industrial, Process, or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience: minimum 7 years as a process engineer in design consultancy or Food/Pharmaceuticals/GMP environments.
• Technical Skills: strong track record in process design, calculations, and documentation.
• Collaboration Skills: ability to work across disciplines, with A&E teams, vendors, and system owners.
• Problem-Solving: solid decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Communication: strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
• Teamwork: ability to work collaboratively within a team and to mentor junior colleagues.
• Tech-Savvy: proficiency in MS Office and process-related software, with good Organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Technical Excellence: produce PFDs, P&IDs, process reports, calculations, utility sizing, and equipment specs with high quality and safety.
• Lead Project Sections: on smaller projects lead process engineering from design to completion; on larger ones, manage sections.
• Manage Change and Controls: assess and implement modifications; document impacts and ensure delivery commitments.
• Support & Mentor: guide junior engineers and foster collaboration and learning.
• Contribute to Project Delivery: coordinate with Arcadis offices, clients, and suppliers to integrate inputs.
• Uphold Standards: ensure work meets local and international codes and client standards.
• Drive Safety and Quality: participate in PHAs, HAZOPs, design reviews, and peer reviews.
• Engage with Clients: represent process engineering in meetings or presentations as needed.
• Innovate and Improve: identify process improvements and new technologies for projects.
