Job summary

Lead Group Ireland is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to support the commissioning and ongoing development of a new pharmaceutical filling line in Kerry. The role offers hybrid working options and a long-term contract with competitive hourly rates.

You’ll work hands-on on Siemens S7 PLC systems, performing programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning while collaborating with engineering, validation and manufacturing teams to hit project milestones and ensure GMP compliance

Qualifications

Degree in Automation, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering or related.
Minimum 5 years in Automation Engineering, preferably pharma or regulated manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of Siemens S7 PLC systems.
Hands-on PLC programming, troubleshooting and commissioning experience.
Experience with automated manufacturing or filling equipment is advantageous.
GMP understanding and pharma validation knowledge.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Support installation, commissioning and qualification of automation systems for a new filling line.
Work with Siemens S7 PLC systems, including troubleshooting and modifications.
Provide hands-on technical support during commissioning, start-up and operation.
Troubleshoot automation and control system issues to ensure equipment performance.
Collaborate with engineering, validation and manufacturing to meet milestones.
Support automation documentation, testing and GMP compliance.
