Job summary

Petmania Galway is seeking part-time Sales Associates who are passionate about retail and pet care. You will assist customers, use product knowledge to guide purchases, and support grooming studio operations. The role includes general retail duties, stock management, and a mid-week plus weekend availability.

Training and bonus opportunities are available, with potential progression to dog grooming. The position offers a 12-hour contract initially, with expected hours increasing.

Qualifications

• Passion for retail and sales.
• Studying or recently qualified in Animal Care to QQI level 5 or 6.
• Available for a 12 hour contract with potential for more hours mid-week and weekends.
• Aptitude to upskill to become a Dog Groomer.

Responsibilities

• Sales-focused role to drive store performance.

• Provide excellent customer care in-store and in grooming studios.
• Carry out general retail duties: merchandising, housekeeping, price checks.

Job description

Petmania are currently recruiting for a num part time Sales Associates for our Galway store. The ideal candidates will be passionate about retail and sales and be willing and eager to make their mark in the store. In addition to this it is an advantage if you are currently studying or recently qualified in Animal Care to QQI level 5 or 6.
We currently have one 12 hour contract available however we envisage that more hours will be available each week-please note you must be available mid week as well as weekends
The main tasks you will be responsible for are;

• Sales, sales, sales-we are retailers after all!
• Using the product knowledge we will give you to help customers make the right choices for their pets
• Providing excellent customer care to our valued customers, both in the store and grooming studios
• General retail duties-merchandising, store housekeeping, price and gap checks etc
• Stock management-deliveries and merchandising
