Nua Healthcare Services in Co. Kildare, Ireland is seeking a People in Charge to lead the Centre on a full-time basis.

You will oversee resident care, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance, ensuring high standards of service and safety for both children and adults. The role requires 3+ years of managerial health or social care experience, a Level 7/8 qualification (plus management training), and a full clean driving licence.

Qualifications

• This role requires a Level 7/8 degree in health or social care with management qualification where applicable.
• Minimum 3 years of managerial experience in a health or social care setting.
• Full clean driver's licence is essential.
• Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities are required to lead teams and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Personal Plans, Risk Assessments and Behavioural Support Plans to ensure high quality and safety.
• Provide mentorship and leadership; conduct supervisions and team meetings.
• Manage staff to deliver services across shifts with regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate input from Clinical Team and other supports as required.
• Ensure service delivery meets Health ACT 2007 regulations and standards.

Job Objectives

We are seeking applications for the role of Person in Charge, who will support the Centre on a full-time contract. The role will suit experienced candidates with strong organisational and management skills, or candidates who wish to progress in their careers in a progressive Organisation and are deemed suitably qualified, skilled and experience in managing a team in a social or healthcare setting and will hold the necessary responsibility, authority, and accountability for the provision of the service with Nua Healthcare in line with relevant regulations.

The Person in Charge will support with the delivery of duties within the Centre daily in line with regulations.

This Will Include The Following On a Day-to-day Basis

• To ensure Personal Plans, Risk Assessments and Behavioural Support Plans are up to date and that services are always being delivered to the highest possible quality and safety standards.
• The Person in Charge is responsible for providing the highest quality of care and support to people who use this service.
• The Person in Charge is responsible for meeting regulation compliance in accordance with Health ACT 2007 (Care and support of residents in designated centres for persons (Children and Adults; with disabilities) Regulations 2013.
• The Person in Charge manages the staff team to provide support to people who use this service and coordinates the input required from other individuals such as members of the Clinical Team and other departmental supports, as required.
• To provide mentorship and leadership to their team daily. Formal supervisions, appraisals and monthly team meetings also take place under the control and supervision of the Person in Charge.
• Overseeing the service as necessary, across shifts to ensure effective and efficient services are delivered within the centre.

Skills Requirement

Qualification

• Level 7/8 Degree in a Health or Social related qualification (or suitable equivalent qualification with management qualification in healthcare).
• Full Clean Driver’s license.

• 3 years minimum managerial experience within a similar health or social care setting.
