Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering in Ireland is seeking an Electrical Quantity Surveyor to own projects from tender through final account, ensuring profitability and commercial control on every stage.

You will partner closely with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and clients to keep commercial aspects healthy, on time and within budget, while upholding quality standards and information security commitments.

Qualifications

• Take ownership from tender to final account.
• Understand commercial impact of scheduling decisions.
• Maintain clear and proactive communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Builds and manages BOQs, budgets, reports and profit plans.
• Runs interim commercial meetings with clients and internal teams.
• Manages subcontractor accounts, valuations and final accounts.
• Issues monthly applications with remeasurements, dayworks, changes and claims.
• Identifies commercial risks early and raises them promptly.
• Works with Planning Engineers to align progress reporting with reality.
• Records meticulously to support commercial claims.
• Negotiates with clients or their representatives as needed.
• Maintains enthusiasm, accuracy and reliability as a standard.
• Ensures information security compliance.
