Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor to own the commercial life of projects from tender through final account. You will protect margins, manage change, and ensure costs stay aligned with contract terms.

You’ll be embedded in the project team, shaping decisions, controlling costs, and ensuring commercial issues are resolved before they escalate. The role offers a permanent, on-site position with an opportunity to lead and develop within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Senior QS with strong commercial awareness and ability to protect margin.
• Experience in interim valuations and final accounts.
• Ability to manage change and keep accounts accurate and auditable.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage budgets, reports, BOQs, and profit plans with accuracy.
• Lead commercial meetings with clients and internal teams and report positions to the Project Manager.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, interim valuations, final accounts, and payments.
• Issue interim and final accounts with remeasurements and site changes.
• Flag risks early and escalate to Senior Management.
• Coordinate with Planning Engineer to align schedule with commercial implications.
• Cost changes and site variations handling.
• Maintain detailed commercial records for audit and scrutiny.
• Negotiate with clients when required.
• Uphold information security per ISMS.
