Job summary

Medforce Healthcare Recruitment invites applications for a Clinical Psychologist specialising in Child & Adolescent Primary Care Psychology. The post supports a multidisciplinary service, offering psychological assessment and intervention for children and young people with a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Locations are flexible within reasonable travel; base options include Balbriggan, Swords, Portmarnock, Kilbarrack, Coolock.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent and be eligible for registration with the relevant professional body.
• Experience with children and/or adolescents, ideally within mental health or Primary Care setting.
• Experience in psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based intervention.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Good organisational and case-management skills.
• Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based intervention to children and adolescents.
• Work collaboratively with children, young people, parents/carers and other professionals.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary assessment, care planning and case management.
• Provide consultation and psychological support to colleagues and other professionals where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with HSE policies and professional standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, service development and clinical governance activities.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of psychologically informed services within Primary Care.
• Work in accordance with relevant professional, ethical and HSE standards.
• Manage a clinical caseload effectively while maintaining high standards of clinical practice.
