Job summary

Allied Health/Nursing in Ireland seeks an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join its Child & Adolescent Primary Care Psychology Service. The role suits Staff Grade or Senior Psychologists aiming to develop a career within a multidisciplinary CAMHS setting.

You will provide psychological assessment and intervention to children and adolescents as part of a multidisciplinary team. Locations are flexible with several bases.

Qualifications

• Eligible for registration with the relevant professional body in Ireland.
• Experience working with children and/or adolescents in mental health or primary care.
• Expertise in psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based intervention.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Good organisational and case-management abilities; commitment to professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based intervention to children and adolescents.
• Work collaboratively with children, young people, parents/carers and other professionals.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary assessment, care planning and case management.
• Provide consultation and psychological support to colleagues and other professionals where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with HSE policies and professional standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, service development and clinical governance activities.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of psychologically informed services within Primary Care.
• Work in accordance with relevant professional, ethical and HSE standards.
• Manage a clinical caseload effectively while maintaining high standards of clinical practice.
