Qualifications

• 2–12+ years of industry software engineering experience (does not include internships or co‑ops).
• Work effectively across the stack from top to bottom, navigating multiple languages and tools.
• Comfortable shipping user-facing experiences and writing queries to analyze results.
• Strong coding skills in any programming language; language-agnostic interview process.
• Strong collaboration, ability to work across workstreams and take initiative.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with autonomy and responsibility.
• Interest in being a generalist across varying technologies to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end problems across diverse systems, processes, and technologies.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to build new features and products.
• Uphold high engineering standards and bring consistency across codebases and processes.
• Build APIs and user experiences that enable merchants to run and scale their businesses on Stripe.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of Stripe's next-generation infrastructure to meet growth needs.
