Job summary

Keary’s Motor Group in Cork is seeking a Part-Time Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop. You will maintain and repair vehicles, attend training and contribute to high levels of customer satisfaction.

The role requires prior experience, a qualified technician status (SOLAS/FAS or equivalent) and a full clean driving licence; you will work as part of a team with the ability to take initiative.

Qualifications

• Qualified Vehicle Motor Technician with SOLAS/FAS registration or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a similar role.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop skill levels in repair, service and maintenance of vehicles.
• Ensure vehicles worked on are handled carefully during service or repair.
• Attend internal and external training courses as directed by management.
• Keep the workshop tidy and in a clean condition.
• Advise the Workshop Foreman or Service Adviser of any additional work necessary on a van/commercial vehicle during a service.
• Be prepared to work overtime, with reasonable notice, if requested by the management.
• Make full use of special tools, service test equipment and training to improve customer service levels and workshop efficiency.
• Maintain product knowledge and read Service Information bulletins as supplied by Service Management.
