Job summary

Laharts is seeking a qualified Motor Technician to join our Volkswagen/Skoda Service team in Kilkenny. The ideal candidate has experience with Volkswagen Group servicing and diagnostics and can produce high-quality work in a busy workshop environment.

Responsibilities include servicing, diagnostics, and completing job cards in line with ISO and dealership requirements, while adhering to safety standards and maintaining a tidy work area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years post apprenticeship experience as a qualified technician.
• Experience ideally with Volkswagen brand.
• Clear job card write ups aligned with factory standards for warranty work.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicles following manufacturer guidelines and dealership standards.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and fix faults.
• Complete job cards with accurate service documentation.
• Perform vehicle health checks and determine required safety or service work.

Job Description

Laharts are looking to recruit Qualified Motor Technician to join our Volkswagen/Skoda Service team in Kilkenny. The ideal candidates will be experienced in all aspects of Volkswagen Group servicing and diagnostics and be capable of producing quality work in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Service & repair vehicles in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and dealership standards
• Performing work as outlined on the job card with efficiency and accuracy
• Using diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified
• Examining the vehicle and performing vehicle health checks to determine if additional safety or service work is required
• Complete service documentation in line with ISO, warranty and dealership requirements
• Maintaining a clean and neat workspace and adhering to all company policies, procedures and safety standards

Requirements

• Qualified Technician (minimum of 3 years post apprenticeship experience) - ideally working with the Volkswagen brand
• Ability to clearly complete job card write ups with a thorough understanding of the requirements of factory standards for warranty write-ups.
• Good communication skills and the ability to identify and explain additional work required to service advisors or customers as required.
• Previous experience working with Kerridge/Keyloop would be an advantage.
