Job summary

QR Select is recruiting a part-time Support Pharmacist for a busy independent community pharmacy located on the outskirts of Galway city. The role involves working 3 days a week and alternate Saturdays, offering a permanent position and the opportunity to contribute to everyday patient care.

You will dispense prescriptions accurately, maintain stock, ensure SOPs and safety standards, and collaborate with the pharmacy team to deliver high-quality service.

Qualifications

• BSc (Pharm) or MPharm degree required.
• Registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and people management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues, patients, suppliers, and the wider community.
• Collaborating with the pharmacy team to ensure the smooth daily operation of the pharmacy.
• Accurately and efficiently dispensing prescriptions.
• Monitoring stock levels and liaising with suppliers to ensure availability of medications.
• Ensuring all paperwork is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with SOPs.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, addressing health and safety concerns with the pharmacy manager.
• Delivering the highest standards of care and service to patients while on duty.
• Participating in ongoing training and development programs provided by the pharmacy.
• Performing other day-to-day duties as required to support the pharmacy team.
