Job summary

The ZipYard Galway is inviting applications for a friendly Part‑Time Customer Service Assistant to join our busy retail team. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, booking alterations, handling payments, and keeping the shop welcoming and organised.

We value good communication, a positive attitude, and reliability. Previous retail experience is welcome but not essential. Hours are part-time with occasional Saturdays, in Galway. Pay: €14.15 per hour.

Qualifications

Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
Basic computer skills and confidence using a till system.

Responsibilities

Greeting customers and providing a warm, professional welcome.
Discussing alteration requirements and booking garments into our system.
Processing payments and operating the till.
Managing customer collections and ensuring garments are returned correctly.
Answering telephone and email enquiries.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming shop environment.
Supporting the seamstress team with general administrative and customer service duties.
