Job summary

The ZipYard Galway is inviting applications for a friendly Part‑Time Customer Service Assistant to join our busy retail team. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, booking alterations, handling payments, and keeping the shop welcoming and organised.

We value good communication, a positive attitude, and reliability. Previous retail experience is welcome but not essential. Hours are part-time with occasional Saturdays, in Galway. Pay: €14.15 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming shop environment.

With over 50 retail shops across Ireland and the UK, The ZipYard is the leading clothing alterations business on the high street.

The ZipYard Galway is looking for a friendly, organised, and customer‑focused Part‑Time Customer Service Assistant to join our team.

If you enjoy working with people, have excellent communication skills, and thrive in a busy retail environment, we’d love to hear from you. As the first point of contact for our customers, you’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding service while supporting the day‑to‑day running of the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting customers and providing a warm, professional welcome.
• Discussing customers’ alteration requirements and accurately booking garments into our system.
• Processing payments and operating the till.
• Managing customer collections and ensuring garments are returned correctly.
• Answering telephone and email enquiries.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming shop environment.
• Supporting the seamstress team with general administrative and customer service duties.
