Job summary

Evolve Ireland is seeking a Psychiatrist to join a multidisciplinary team serving children, young people and adults with neurodevelopmental needs. The role focuses on high-quality assessments and collaborative care within a supportive clinical environment.

This part-time position offers 1–2 days per week in Blanchardstown, County Dublin and Gorey, County Wexford, with hybrid/remote options, ongoing CPD, and a commitment to clinician wellbeing and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Primary Medical Degree and recognised qualification.
• Full registration with Irish Medical Council.
• Specialist Registration in Psychiatry.
• Specialist Training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry or General Adult Psychiatry.
• Desirable: ADHD/Autism/Neurodevelopmental training or Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management for ADHD across the lifespan.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support diagnostic decision-making and treatment planning.
• Prescribe and monitor ADHD medications in line with Irish legislation, standards and guidelines.
• Develop personalised treatment plans and support shared-care arrangements with GPs.
• Conduct risk and safeguarding assessments, escalating concerns and implementing safety plans.
• Participate in safeguarding reviews and multidisciplinary safeguarding discussions.
• Maintain high standards of clinical governance, documentation, prescribing, and quality assurance.
• Contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
