Job summary

Allcare Pharmacy in Killarney is seeking a Pharmacy Healthcare Advisor for a part-time 16-hour per week role. You will provide product information, advise customers, manage stock, and deliver excellent service while working as part of the pharmacy team.

You will handle OTC requests with appropriate questioning and ensure cash handling and safety procedures are followed. Training and development are provided within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in Pharmacy/Retail/Hospitality preferred.
• Cashier experience an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to use discretion when addressing customer queries and to treat customer/patient information confidentially.
• Good attention to detail is essential.
• Organised with a proven ability to multi-task under pressure.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Basic IT skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide product information and advice to customers across all product ranges in the Pharmacy, consulting with the Managing Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Maintain stock control including rotation, stock levels, suppliers and correct delivery details.
• Deliver professional and efficient customer service at all times, enhancing relationships with customers.
• Work effectively as part of the Pharmacy team, being flexible and adaptable in all areas of operation.
• Maintain cooperative and professional relationships with colleagues.
• Fulfil requests for over-the-counter medicines using WWHAM questioning and refer to Pharmacist when needed.
• Be vigilant with cash handling procedures and receipts.
• Ensure the Pharmacy is clean and safe; report Health and Safety issues to the Pharmacy Manager.
• Participate in training and development programmes provided by the Pharmacy.
• Any other duties as required.
