Job summary

Medmark Occupational Healthcare Limited is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to cover a three-day-per-week role (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) for Amgen. The ideal candidate will have a valid NMBI registration and at least two years in occupational health nursing, with competency in audiometry, spirometry, vision screening, phlebotomy, VDU ergonomics and vaccination administration.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with valid NMBI registration.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in occupational health nursing.
• Competency in audiometry, spirometry, vision screening, phlebotomy, VDU ergonomics and administration of vaccines.
• Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal, empathy and listening skills.
• Strong organisational and planning skills including time management with proven track record of delivering to a high professional standard.
• Strong team player with ability to build effective working relationships.

• High clinical standards.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains baseline policies for the Occupational Health Department.
• Coordinates absence management programme, including medical case management.
• Coordinates and manages return-to-work and rehabilitation for absent colleagues.
• Provides advice and support for the site Industrial Hygiene programmer.
• Manages the onsite ergonomics and manual handling program.
• Provides appropriate vaccinations for employees.
• Manages First Aid Programme and attendance to occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Liaises with the OHP regarding client employees and relevant stakeholders.
• Supports incident investigations and statutory reporting to government/insurance bodies.
• Keeps up to date on relevant legislative changes pertaining to health and safety.
