Job summary

Aoibhneas invites applications for a part-time Housekeeper to support the cleanliness, hygiene, safety and presentation of its premises in Ireland. The role is 20 hours per week, with duties spanning general cleaning, supplies management and room turnovers to ensure a welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene standards, following health and safety procedures, and assisting with residential room preparation.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Ability to work within set timeframes and remain calm under pressure.
• Proactive, reliable and positive approach to work.
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact respectfully with residents, colleagues and visitors.
• Basic understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties across Aoibhneas premises and locations.
• Clean floors, rooms, windows, surfaces and other areas to a high standard.
• Clean and sanitise bathrooms and restrooms, including replenishing supplies and emptying waste.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust and maintain assigned areas.
• Maintain adequate stocks of cleaning products, linen and other housekeeping supplies.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are stored safely and maintained appropriately.
• Transport, replace and manage linen as required.
• Assist with the cleaning and preparation of residential rooms, including changing beds and preparing accommodation for new residents.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and organisation throughout all assigned areas.
• Follow relevant Health & Safety procedures and report any hazards or maintenance issues.
• Carry out other housekeeping duties as required.
