Job summary

Vision Ireland NCBI in Wexford Town invites applications for an LRC Programme Coordinator: Health & Wellbeing. This 15-hour weekly role is a 2-year fixed-term contract based at Lochrann Resource Centre, with occasional evenings and weekends.

You will plan and deliver activity sessions, act as Key Worker, and promote person-centred care within a supportive team. The role requires QQI in fitness/health & wellbeing or related field, with driving license, and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Essential: QQI qualification in fitness/health & wellbeing/disabilities/social care or willingness to complete QQI facilitator/social care qualification.
• Desirable: knowledge of Total Communication Approach; disability awareness; social care training; First Aid Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging group sessions for people with sight loss at the Resource Centre.
• Develop and deliver activity programmes based on person-centred planning.
• Maintain and ensure upkeep of session spaces and equipment.
• Act as a Key Worker and liaise with professionals, parents and carers.
• Attend team meetings and promote Vision Ireland policies and procedures.
• Support participation in daily activities and programmes within a safe environment.
