Job summary

J & Y International Consultancy PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking freelance/part-time Chinese language tutors to deliver face-to-face lessons to students.

Tutors provide one-to-one or small-group sessions, cover listening, speaking, reading and writing, and align lessons with MOE Chinese Language curricula. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or be pursuing one, strong Chinese skills, and be able to commit to a stable part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or current pursuit, preferably in Chinese Language, Chinese Studies, Education or related field.
• Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese.
• Strong understanding of Chinese grammar, comprehension and composition writing.
• Familiarity with the Singapore MOE Chinese Language curriculum is highly preferred.
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
• Experience teaching Primary/Secondary school students in Singapore will be an advantage.
• Patient, responsible and able to communicate effectively with students.
• Able to commit to a stable part-time teaching schedule.

• Assist students in preparing for school and national examinations.

We are an education and study-abroad consultancy in Singapore, providing academic support and education planning services to local and international students.

We are currently looking for experienced and responsible Chinese Language Tutors to provide face-to-face lessons to students in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality face-to-face Chinese Language lessons for local and international students.

• Provide one-to-one and/or small-group Chinese tutoring based on students' language proficiency and academic needs.

• Teach and strengthen students' listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

• Provide guidance in areas such as comprehension, composition, vocabulary, grammar and oral communication.

• Prepare lessons according to students' school syllabus and learning objectives.

• Support students studying MOE Chinese Language / Higher Chinese and other relevant Chinese Language programmes, where applicable.

• Identify students' areas of weakness and provide targeted academic support.

• Monitor students' homework, assessments and learning progress, and provide timely feedback.

• Support students in preparing for school and national examinations where required.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Chinese Language, Chinese Studies, Education or a related discipline.

• Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese.
