Job summary

Sunbeam House Services (SHS) invites applications for a Part-time Care Assistant (84 hours per month) in Rathdrum, County Wicklow. The role involves supporting clients to achieve personal outcomes, promoting independence and community involvement within a residential setting.

Working hours cover Monday to Sunday, including days, sleepovers, weekends and unsociable hours. As a Care Assistant you will help with daily living activities, health and personal care, and teach essential life skills

Qualifications

• Passion for promoting and empowering those you support.
• A team player willing to lone work and to join a team.
• Knowledge of HIQA standards and relevant legislation.
• Legal right to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a person-centred approach aligned with clients' wishes and goals.
• Promote and protect clients' rights, dignity, and privacy.
• Help clients develop meaningful roles in the community.
• Support overall wellbeing including health and personal care.
• Assist in teaching life skills such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning, and building confidence.
