Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end non-audit company accounts and working papers.
• Prepare management accounts.
• Assist with audits as required.
• Reconcile balance sheet items including VAT, payroll, leases, hire purchases and fixed assets.
• Post journals and use accounting software confidently.
• Prepare statutory financial statements by deadlines.

An established accountancy firm based in Dublin is seeking a Part Qualified Accountant

This role offers an excellent opportunity for career progression within a dynamic and growing practice. The successful candidate will gain hands‑on experience across a diverse client portfolio while working closely with trainees, part-qualified, and qualified accountants. We will provide you with the exposure and experience to become a very successful and commercially aware accountant while working within an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of year end non‑audit company accounts and working papers to review stage
• Preparation of management accounts
• Assisting with audits when required
• Ability to reconcile balance sheet items including VAT, Payroll, leases, hire purchases and fixed assets
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and familiarity of posting journals onto accounting software
• Preparation of statutory financial statements in line with agreed deadlines, ability to follow checklists, procedures and process requirements
• Calculation of Corporation Tax
• Calculation and submission of VAT and RCT returns
• Liaising with clients – confident in dealing with clients over the phone and through written correspondence
• Assisting manager on special client assignments

Requirements

• Part Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA
• Minimum 1 to 2 years Irish practice experience
• Strong technical abilities
• A positive and professional manner, with strong communication skills essential
• An ability to work under your own initiative is a must
• Proficient in Excel / Sage Accounts/ QuickBooks is an advantage
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
