You will join a skilled maintenance team to ensure properties are kept to a high standard, with duties including surface preparation, painting, minor repairs, and safety compliance. Galway-based role with competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Valid Safe Pass and MEWP certification are required.
• Strong eye for detail and high standard of workmanship.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Organised, reliable, able to work independently.
• Prior painting/decorating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out painting, decorating, and minor repair works across Comer Group Ireland properties in Galway.
• Prepare painting surfaces (cleaning, patching, sanding, or removing old finishes).
• Mix, match, and apply paints and finishes with care and precision.
• Protect surrounding areas with appropriate coverings and ensure clean workspaces.
• Move furniture or equipment to allow full access to project areas.
• Remove and replace light fixtures, fittings, and hardware as needed.
• Operate MEWPs and scaffolding safely.
• Estimate material requirements and time for tasks accurately.
• Communicate effectively with the Maintenance and Property Management teams.
• Support colleagues as needed and carry out tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
• Comply with company health & safety standards and the Lone Worker Policy.

This role involves delivering high-quality painting and general maintenance work across our residential and commercial properties in the Galway area. The successful candidate will work as part of a skilled maintenance team to ensure properties are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out painting, decorating, and minor repair works across Comer Group Ireland properties in Galway
• Prepare painting surfaces (cleaning, patching, sanding, or removing old finishes)
• Mix, match, and apply paints and finishes with care and precision
• Protect surrounding areas with appropriate coverings and ensure clean workspaces
