RecruitNet International Ltd is hiring a Healthcare Assistant-PACU for a hospital in Dublin. Location is on-site in Dublin with permanent, full-time employment.

You will support postoperative patient care, coordinate with nurses and the broader team, and help ensure safety, hygiene, and patient comfort. The role requires Leaving Certificate, QQI Level 5 HCA (or equivalent nursing qualification) and a proactive, communicative team player with good time management.

Qualificações

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
• QQI/FETAC Level 5 Healthcare Assistant qualification, including all eight modules, or an equivalent nursing qualification.
• Previous healthcare experience is desirable, particularly in an acute hospital setting.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with patient care and daily activities as directed by the Nurse Manager or Clinical Coordinator.
• Communicate professionally with patients, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Support safe patient handling, mobility, personal hygiene, and elimination needs.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available for post-operative care and theatre requirements.
• Maintain patient safety by following age- and condition-specific precautions and report concerns.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality in line with hospital policies.
• Maintain a clean, safe clinical environment with proper hand hygiene and infection control.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with patient transfers from recovery to wards.
• Support individualized patient care, including meal supervision and dietary needs.
• Attend mandatory training, staff meetings, and performance reviews; be flexible across departments.
