Job summary

Executive Edge Recruitment seeks a Packaging Technology Executive to advise client companies on packaging design, optimisation and sustainability across Ireland. The role combines technical packaging knowledge with strong communication to support waste reduction and packaging performance improvements.

You will coordinate packaging projects, provide expertise on materials and recyclability, and contribute to industry guidance and events.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in the packaging sector.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, design and optimisation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical info to diverse audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Experience coordinating packaging design, artwork or printed packaging projects.
• Good understanding of packaging sustainability, recyclability and waste management.
• A relevant third-level qualification in Packaging Technology, Materials Technology or a related discipline.
• Full clean driving licence and own transport as travel to sites will be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on packaging design, optimisation, minimisation and packaging waste management.
• Work directly with businesses to identify opportunities to improve packaging performance and reduce waste.
• Provide technical expertise on packaging materials, recyclability and sustainable packaging solutions.
• Support the development and delivery of packaging-related projects and initiatives.
• Advise stakeholders on best practice and technological developments within the packaging sector.
• Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to support improvements in packaging recycling and sustainability.
• Prepare reports, presentations and other materials relating to packaging technology and sustainability.
• Contribute to industry publications, guidance documents, seminars and events.
• Attend relevant industry forums, conferences and training events in Ireland and internationally as required.
• Support wider team activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of services.
