Job summary

Danone Specialized Nutrition in Macroom, Ireland, is launching a major greenfield investment to build our next-generation liquid nutrition facility. As the Packaging Engineering Lead (Filler & EOL), you will own the end-to-end packaging engineering execution—leading the workstream through filler and downstream/EOL installation, integration, commissioning, performance testing, and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience in food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, or nutrition manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Experience with aseptic/high-hygiene packaging technologies and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Packaging Engineering Leadership: lead the filler & EOL workstream and set priorities.
• Project Execution & Commissioning: oversee installation, integration, commissioning and qualification of packaging systems.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: coordinate with Operations, Quality, R&I, EHS, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.
• CAPEX Management & Governance: oversee scope, cost control, scheduling and reporting for packaging packages.
• Procurement & Supplier Management: lead vendor tenders, technical clarifications and supplier engagements.
• Standards, Compliance & Safety: ensure GMP and hygienic design across systems.
• Operational Readiness & Handover: develop SOPs, training, and spare parts lists; handover to Ops/ Maintenance.
