Job summary

PACIV is seeking an experienced Packaging Engineer for a F&B project based in Cork, Ireland. You will own end-to-end packaging execution from installation through commissioning and start-up, ensuring safety, quality and alignment with engineering standards.

The role requires leading aseptic/ESL filling systems, interfacing with EPCM and suppliers, and delivering GMP-compliant documentation and performance readiness for operations.

Qualifications

• Must have valid EU Work Permit and Irish residency.

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical owner for aseptic/ESL filling systems, including filler/closer, cap and container sterilization, and capping/sealing.
• Lead installation, integration, commissioning, and qualification of filler systems and interfaces with downstream equipment.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, R&I, EHS, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure filler readiness and efficient changeovers.
• Provide technical leadership for filler CAPEX package including scope, cost, scheduling and reporting.
• Lead tenders for filler systems (URS/SoW, bid evaluations, clarifications).
• Ensure filler systems comply with GMP/HACCP, hygienic design, and regulatory requirements.
