Job summary

Actavo is seeking a capable on-site survey professional to work on ESB network projects. You will perform inspections, record findings, and report hazards while following ESB safety standards. A full, clean driving licence and Safe Pass are required, with training available for those new to ESB networks.

Role involves independent work at sites, identifying maintenance needs, and contributing to safety and efficiency of field operations. Pension and life assurance are among the listed benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be confident working on their own initiative.
• Experience on ESB networks is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
• Must have a full, clean, manual driving licence.
• Safe Pass certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all works are carried out in adherence to ESB safety standards.
• Ensure survey is carried out in line with ESB guidelines.
• Ensure all survey findings are recorded accurately.
• Report near misses/good catches encountered onsite.
• Check poles for rot or damage.
• Complete Madison Bore checks.
• Identify headgear that needs replacement.
• Check overhead conductor for damage.
• Check ground clearance in adjacent span to pole.
• Identify any hazards on the network.
• Identify any upgrade works that are required at pole location.
