Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking an OT Integration Engineer to join a technology-focused manufacturing environment in Limerick. The role spans industrial automation, MES, OT/IT integration, and digital manufacturing, connecting plant equipment with higher-level software to unlock better production data usage.

You will design and implement OT integration solutions, configure OPC UA/MQTT, and support UNS architectures while aligning with ISA-95 and manufacturing data standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in industrial automation or OT integration.
• Experience integrating PLC-based manufacturing systems with higher‑level software platforms.
• Strong experience with PLC, SCADA and/or DCS.
• Experience with MES/MOM.
• Knowledge of ISA-95 and manufacturing data architectures.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and implementing OT integration solutions across manufacturing environments.
• Integrating PLC, SCADA and DCS systems with MES, ERP and enterprise platforms.
• Developing industrial data collection and contextualisation solutions.
• Configuring industrial communication protocols including OPC UA and MQTT.
• Supporting UNS architectures and data architecture strategies.
• Designing OT integration solutions aligned with ISA-95 principles.
• Developing SQL databases and data pipelines for manufacturing data.
• Collaborating with MES, LIMS and ERP platforms such as SAP.
• Delivering proofs-of-concept and technology demonstrators.
• Working with vendors to assess and implement emerging OT and manufacturing technologies.
• Delivering technical training, workshops and knowledge-transfer sessions.
• Contributing to Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing and digital transformation initiatives.
