Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking an Operator to support PCB production in Carrigaline. You will operate assembly equipment, prepare components, and perform manual and automated steps following established procedures to ensure quality and throughput.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of IPC standards, a hands-on approach, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role requires standing and manual dexterity with attention to detail and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IPC7711/IPC7721 and IPC J-Standard and their application.

Responsibilities

• Operate assembly equipment to complete tasks.
• Prepare components for manual assembly.
• Operate PCB cleaning and baking equipment.
• Use torque tools for fastening.
• Perform manual PCB and mechanical assembly per procedures.
• Inspect and rework PCBs and components as required.
• Complete production documentation and use ERP for Work Orders.

Summary Of Function And Specific Responsibilities

The role reports to the PCB Production Supervisor, will support normal production activities as required.

Specific Responsibilities

• Operate assembly equipment required to complete specified tasks.
• Prepare components for manual assembly
• Operate PCB cleaning and baking equipment
• Use Torque tools for assembly of specific fasteners
• Perform manual assembly of PCB’s and some mechanical hardware to formal assembly procedures, process procedures, assembly drawings and SOP’s
• Typical components handled will be printed circuit cards and electronic components.
• Application of adhesives and conformal coatings.
• Prototype assembly work under engineering control.
• Set up equipment and carry out process related measurements as required.
• Perform operator machine maintenance as specified.
• Inspect and rework PCB’s and components as per established criteria.
• Typical other items used will be specified safety equipment worn during maintenance.
• Completion of all necessary production related documentation.
• Use our ERP system to transact Work orders.
• Adherence to all necessary requirements relating to personal tool maintenance, anti-static precaution, safety and housekeeping.
• Specific equipment training will be provided.

Preferable Qualifications & Skills

Knowledge of IPC7711/IPC7721 and IPC J-Standard and there application

Work Environment

The role may involve standing or sitting for extended periods of time, fine dexterity tasks, manual handling activities, working with VDU/DSE, repetitive movements, working with controlled chemicals.
