Job summary

Greenvolt Next Ireland is seeking an Operations Manager to lead Solar O&M and Heating service activities, ensure high-quality delivery, and drive asset performance across Ireland and the UK. The role combines technical operations with client management, commercial bids, and strategic growth in a dynamic energy transition environment.

You will oversee performance reporting, pricing, and contract negotiations, while developing scalable processes and dashboards to improve efficiency and stakeholder

Qualifications

  • Third-level qualification in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Building Services, Business Management, or related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications in project management, operations management, or renewable energy desirable.
  • Proven experience in operations management within renewable energy, building services, utilities, or construction sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV operations and maintenance, heating systems, asset performance management, and service delivery.
  • Experience managing client relationships, commercial contracts, pricing, and service proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to Solar O&M and Heating teams; oversee service delivery and asset performance.
  • Oversee O&M, EPC troubleshooting, heating installation and maintenance activities; ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Analyze performance data from PPA and client-owned assets; identify underperformance and optimization opportunities.
  • Lead pricing, proposals, and contract negotiations; drive service revenue and new opportunities.
  • Support expansion and service development in Ireland and the UK; establish new supply chain partnerships.
  • Implement reporting standards and dashboards; improve communication between teams and stakeholders.

Job description

The Operations Manager will lead and oversee Greenvolt Next’s Solar O&M, Heating service and PPA assets, ensuring high-quality service delivery, strong asset performance, and commercial growth. The role bridges technical operations, subcontracted operations, client management, asset performance and strategic expansion in Ireland and the UK.

Leadership & Team Oversight:
  • Provide leadership to the Solar O&M and Heating Teams
  • Maintain and enhance operational structures, reporting, and accountability
  • Support recruitment and development of team capabilities.
Service Delivery:
  • Oversee solar PV O&M, EPC troubleshooting, and heating installation and maintenance activities
  • Ensure service quality and operational efficiency in line with client requirements.
Asset Performance Management:
  • Analyse performance data from PPA and client-owned solar assets
  • Identify underperformance and optimisation opportunities
  • Produce clear, client-friendly performance reports
  • Manage and track all company assets.
Commercial & Client Engagement:
  • Act as primary contact for key clients
  • Lead pricing, proposals, and contract negotiations
  • Drive service revenue and identify new opportunities
  • Track timely invoicing including internal departmental charges.
Business Growth & Expansion:
  • Support expansion and service development in Ireland and the UK
  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Identify and establish new supply chain partnerships.
Process Improvement:
  • Implement reporting standards and dashboards
  • Improve communication between teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Third-level qualification in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Building Services, Business Management, or a related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and supporting business growth and operational expansion.
  • Experience in supplier management, supply chain development, and implementing operational processes and reporting frameworks.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Commercial awareness with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret performance data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive, results-driven, and customer-focused approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting systems, with the ability to develop and utilise operational dashboards and performance metrics.
