Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking an Operations Manager for a growing renewable energy business specializing in solar PV and heat pump installations. You will own day-to-day operations across field-based activities, lead surveyors and support staff, and foster a culture of accountability, quality and safety.

You will develop and improve processes across surveying, design, scheduling, installation and handover, aiming to increase capacity while reducing delays and costs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operations management.
• Experience leading field-based teams and multi-site operations.
• Knowledge of health and safety compliance and RAMS.

Responsibilities

• Lead field-based teams, surveyors and support staff, building a culture of accountability, quality and safety.

About Your New Job

As Operations Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day operations across solar PV and heat pump installation activities. You will:

• Lead field-based teams, surveyors and support staff, building a culture of accountability, quality and safety.
• Develop and improve processes across surveying, design, scheduling, installation and handover.
• Increase installation capacity while reducing delays, rework, complaints and operational costs.
• Oversee health and safety, quality standards, suppliers and logistics.
• Support the sales team with technical project scoping, pricing and commercial decision-making.
• Establish KPIs and provide clear operational performance reports to senior management.

What Skills You Need

• Proven experience in operations management
• Strong knowledge of solar PV, heat pumps or mechanical/electrical installations.
• Experience managing field-based teams and multi-site operations.
• Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety compliance and RAMS.
• Commercial awareness, with experience supporting technical pricing desirable.
