Job summary

Morgan Stanley Investment Management in Dublin seeks an Associate to support the Designated Person for Operational Risk Management. You will contribute to risk oversight, incident management, and regular reporting for funds under management.

Qualifications

• Experience in a risk discipline in a buy side firm or management consulting firm.
• Strong knowledge of operational risk management across the various risk types.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly detail-oriented self-starter and team player in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of board engagement is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Designated Person (DP) for Operational Risk Management/Head of Risk in overseeing risk for funds managed by MSIM FMIL.
• Act as a secondary point of contact on operational risk matters including incident management.
• Produce regular and ad hoc operational risk reporting including board-level materials.
• Assist in risk identification for the entity including NFRA.
• Assist in managing risk framework through oversight of risk policies and procedures.
• Assist in assessment of outsourced service providers and evidencing of oversight.
• Support strategic initiatives to improve the risk function’s capabilities.
• Perform other activities as delegated by the Designated Person.
