Job summary

Designer Group in Newbridge, Co. Kildare, is seeking an experienced onsite Electrical Store Person to join our project team on a major construction project.

You will manage stores, receive and record deliveries with GRNs, and maintain stock levels to support site teams and suppliers. The role requires 3+ years in store/stock control within Electrical/M&E or construction, good knowledge of electrical materials, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Storeperson or Materials Controller.
• Good knowledge of electrical materials and stock control processes.
• Experience with GRNs, inventory management and supplier coordination.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation, organisation and security of the site stores.
• Receive, inspect and record deliveries, ensuring accurate GRNs and documentation.
• Maintain stock levels through regular stock takes and accurate inventory control.
• Issue materials to site teams and coordinate material call-offs with approved suppliers.
• Ensure correct procedures are followed for material receiving, storage, preservation and distribution.
• Liaise with site management, procurement and suppliers to resolve delivery discrepancies and material requirements.
• Record and manage excess, unwanted and returned materials, including the removal and disposal of scrap.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, health & safety standards and efficient delivery processes.
• Work collaboratively with site teams to improve productivity, safety, quality and processes.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Storeperson or Materials Controller within Electrical, M&E, Construction or Engineering.
• Good knowledge of electrical materials and stock control processes.
• Experience with GRNs, inventory management and supplier coordination.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with stock management systems is an advantage.
• Reliable, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
