Job summary

GemPool Recruitment is seeking a Systems Engineer II to join a fast-paced engineering team responsible for designing, building, and supporting critical infrastructure. This role emphasizes AWS, automation, and collaboration across cloud and infrastructure domains.

You will design, deploy, and maintain highly available systems while driving automation, reliability, and security in a cross-functional environment. Strong scripting, container, and DevOps experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS at scale.
• Proficient in Python and Java development.
• Strong DevOps mindset and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of containerization with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Good Linux/Unix administration and networking basics.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions in AWS.
• Build and enhance automation tools using Python and Java.
• Design resilient and secure systems following best practices.
• Collaborate with networking, storage, Linux/Unix teams and cloud techs.
• Drive infrastructure improvements with cross-functional teams.
