Job summary

Biogen is seeking a Sr. Engineer II in Athlone, Ireland to provide hands-on process and manufacturing sciences expertise to support technology transfers, PPQs, and complex investigations.

This role requires on-site presence five days a week to drive timely decisions on the manufacturing floor. You will lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, analyze data, design studies to improve process robustness, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Process Engineering to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Extensive experience in manufacturing sciences for biologics or parenteral drug products.
• Strong data analysis and on‑floor problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical leadership during manufacturing operations.
• Lead rapid assessments and CAPAs for process and product impacts.
• Develop SOPs and batch records with cross‑functional teams.
• Review data in real time to mitigate risks.
• Support technology transfers from development to manufacturing.
• Engage with QA, Process Engineering and Regulatory teams on transfers.
