Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Resident Engineer for a National Road scheme near Dundalk, Co. Louth, starting Summer 2026 for about 14 months.

The role involves site supervision, contract administration, and ongoing liaising with stakeholders and clients on roadworks projects. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 8 Civil Engineering degree, be Chartered or working toward it, and have experience in supervising civil works and administering Public Works contracts, with strong English communication and team

Qualifications

• A Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Chartered Engineer or actively pursuing this qualification is preferred.
• Relevant years of experience in civil engineering, including 2 years construction phase in supervising & administering Public Works Contracts.

Responsibilities

• Site-based supervision of construction activities and contract administration.
• Stakeholder and client liaison, reporting and inspection in coordination with Senior Resident Engineer.
• Record keeping, progress reporting and claims assessment under the Public Works forms of contract.
