Job summary

Leo Lynch seeks a Site Quantity Surveyor to manage cost control, subcontractor payments and variations on a large-scale construction project. The role involves on-site oversight with travel to other company sites, ensuring accurate commercial administration.

The successful candidate will support interim valuations, final accounts, and monthly cost reporting, while ensuring compliance with RIAI/NEC/JCT contracts and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably on large-scale construction or industrial projects.
• Proven experience in managing subcontractor accounts, including applications, variations, and final accounts.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (RIAI, NEC, JCT or similar).
• Excellent understanding of cost control processes and commercial administration.

Responsibilities

• Review, assess, and certify monthly subcontractor payment applications and variations.
• Identify, capture, and record all project variations; prepare VO’s/compensation events with Line Manager.
• Assist with interim valuations and final accounts; monitor site instructions for cost inclusion.
• Support cost reporting, cash flow forecasting, and budget control; liaise with project management and commercial teams.
• Assist in subcontract procurement and drafting of subcontract documents; ensure contractual compliance.
