Job summary

Reboot Monkey in Blanchardstown, Ireland, is seeking a Data Center Technician for an on-site freelance role. The candidate will install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment, perform structured cabling, and monitor environmental systems.

You will respond to incidents and document assets, collaborating with engineering teams. The role requires 3+ years in data center operations, strong troubleshooting, and knowledge of cabling standards.

Qualifications

3+ years data center operations experience.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments.
Strong cable installation and termination skills required.
Knowledge of power distribution and UPS systems helpful.
Familiarity with ITIL practices preferred.
Experience with vendor certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber).
Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
Respond to incidents and troubleshoot issues; maintain asset documentation.
