Job summary

Stripe is seeking an Offensive Security Engineer to simulate attacker TTPs, perform hands-on penetration testing across Stripe's products and cloud infrastructure, and drive improvements in detection and response.

You will build custom offensive tooling, work with defense teams, and mentor juniors while staying current with threats; this role is in-office in Dublin with flexible arrangements and strong collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in offensive security, penetration testing, red teaming, or a related field.
• Proficient in Python/Go and building automated tools.
• Deep knowledge of web application security (OWASP Top 10, ASVS).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication to translate findings into risk-based recommendations.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and attacker tradecraft.

Responsibilities

• Conduct web applications, APIs, cloud environments, mobile apps, and internal infrastructure pen tests.
• Plan and lead red team engagements emulating real-world threat actors.
• Develop offensive tooling and automation to scale assessments.
• Collaborate with detection engineering, threat intel, and incident response teams.
• Produce clear, actionable reports communicating findings and remediation guidance.
• Mentor junior team members and drive end-to-end offensive security projects.
• Stay current with emerging threats and share research internally.
