Job summary

Enable Ireland Wicklow Children’s Services, CDNT5, Bray, is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join the interdisciplinary team. You will provide OT assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children aged 0-18, in settings including the Centre, schools and community.

The role offers a permanent contract, 35 hours per week, with a salary scale of €63,313 - €74,947 pro rata per annum and progression via Long Service Increments.

Qualifications

• Be registered or eligible for CORU registration.
• Have 3 years post-qualification clinical experience.
• Maintain annual CORU registration as requirement.
• Experience supervising OT students or assistants.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services including assessment, diagnostics and intervention for children 0–18 with disabilities.
• Work across Centre, schools, preschools, homes and community settings.
• Provide clinical supervision and contribute to service delivery.

We are currently seeking highly-motivated Senior Occupational Therapists to join our team in Enable Ireland Wicklow Children’s Services, CDNT5, Bray.

Contract Type: Permanent

Contract Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary Scale: €63,313 - €74,947 pro rata per annum

Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)

Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days per annum pro rata

Overview of the Post

To work as a senior member of the interdisciplinary team providing supports to children aged 0-18 years and families within the region. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of occupational therapy services to include assessment, diagnostics and intervention to children with a range of disabilities, clinical supervision and participate in the ongoing service delivery. The post holder will be required to work across a variety of settings including the Centre, schools, special schools, preschools and children’s homes and community settings.

Essential Criteria

• Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU (https://www.coru.ie/).
• Have 3 years full time (or an aggregate of three years) post qualification clinical experience.
• Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
• Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
• On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
• Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.
• Experience supervising Occupational Therapy Students and/or Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Candidates must have current eligibility to work in the State.

Desirable Criteria

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children with disabilities (0-18 years).
• Experience of interdisciplinary team working.
• Relevant postgraduate training specific to children with disabilities (0-18 years).
• Hold a valid full driving licence for within the State/jurisdiction with access to own private transport in order to deliver services across a large geographical area.
