Job summary

Cpl Healthcare is seeking a Staff Nurse (Team Leader) in Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim to lead a multidisciplinary team supporting adults with intellectual disabilities in a residential respite service.

You will oversee clinical practice, coordinate care plans and ensure high standards of person-centred care. The successful candidate will have an active NMBI registration, RNID qualification or relevant ID services experience, and proven leadership, assessment and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active NMBI registration.
• RNID qualification or significant experience within intellectual disability services.
• Experience supervising or leading staff teams.
• Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Strong IT and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing and support staff.
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Coordinate, implement and review individual care and support plans.
• Support staff supervision, performance management and roster planning.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards and best practice guidelines.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and risk management processes.
• Promote a safe environment and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively with families, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
• Participate in the management of admissions, assessments and ongoing care planning.
