Job summary

Element Six in Ireland is seeking an NPI & Technical Development Engineer to support sourcing, evaluation and implementation of new technology that will deliver cost, capacity and capability improvements.

You will also develop processes to manufacture new products, working closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance and external suppliers, and apply data-driven methods to ensure robust, repeatable processes while prioritising safety.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Engineering experience
• Appropriate Engineering qualification. NFQ Level 8 or higher.
• Experience in Manufacturing and Project Management advantageous
• Experience with Equipment sourcing & implementation and/or Process Improvement Activity.
• Some experience in Six Sigma and lean systems is an advantage.
• Examines data to understand issues, draw conclusions, and solve problems.
• Excellent communication, people and team working skills.
• A team player with a can do, pro-active attitude and a passion for improvement.
• Good understanding of health & safety standards as well as quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of new technology to re-engineer manufacturing processes for cost reduction and new capability.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance and External Suppliers.
• Ensure safety is the number one priority in all work.
• Evaluate potential new technology and support introduction to Production.
• Commissioning and optimization of new equipment and processes.
• Develop efficient, robust and repeatable manufacturing processes.
