ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role provides technical support across upstream and downstream manufacturing operations, supporting the introduction of new products, processes, equipment and technologies within a highly regulated BDS environment.

The successful person will act as a key technical SME, providing hands‑on troubleshooting and problem-solving across manufacturing, equipment, process, quality and safety‑related challenges. You’ll also play a central role in NPI, technology transfer, process improvement and strategic site projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of manufacturing, engineering and technical operations, with the autonomy to influence how new technologies and processes are introduced, optimised and sustained.

What You will Do:
  • Lead and support New Product Introductions (NPI), technology transfers, process improvements and strategic manufacturing initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership and SME support across upstream and downstream manufacturing operations.
  • Support real‑time troubleshooting and resolution of process, equipment, automation and operational issues.
  • Support projects involving new process and equipment introduction, EBR deployment, automation and digitalisation, CAPEX/OPEX optimisation and manufacturing capacity expansion.
  • Lead and support manufacturing investigations, change controls, deviations and CAPAs.
  • Support equipment design reviews, commissioning, qualification and validation activities.
  • Identify and implement process optimisation and continuous improvement opportunities to improve safety, quality, throughput, reliability and cost performance.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Manufacturing Operations, Technical Support, Process Engineering or Equipment Engineering within a biopharmaceutical or highly regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of biological manufacturing processes and GMP manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience with NPI, technology transfer, process validation or capacity expansion projects.
  • Experience supporting media and buffer preparation, sterile filtration, upstream and downstream processing.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing investigations, deviations, change controls and CAPAs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical leadership skills, with the ability to make sound, data-driven decisions.
