Job summary

Vickerstock is recruiting for an NPD Technologist at all levels for a Ballyconnell site in Co. Cavan. The role focuses on development, redevelopment and launches of new and innovative food products, with responsibilities tailored to experience.

You will work with Production, Technical and NPD teams, manage projects, and contribute to the expansion of the NPD function while staying aligned with market trends and customer needs.

Qualifications

• A third-level qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline or relevant industry experience.
• Experience within NPD, product development, food technology or a similar food manufacturing environment.
• A genuine interest in food development, innovation and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of new products from concept through to launch.
• Create and amend recipes, product specifications and submission documentation.
• Support customer briefs and product presentations.
• Manage and access new raw materials and ingredients.
• Take ownership of assigned NPD projects and ensure progress to timelines.
• Collaborate with Production and Technical teams to coordinate launches.
• Support continuous improvement and redevelopment of existing products.
• Keep up to date with market trends, customer requirements and new product opportunities.
• For more experienced candidates, take greater ownership of projects, customers, product ranges and categories.

Are you an NPD professional looking for your next opportunity within food manufacturing? Vickerstock are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with an established and growing food manufacturing business based in Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan, with the site continuing to expand and invest in its NPD function. They are open to speaking with NPD candidates at all levels, from graduates and Junior NPD Technologists through to experienced NPD professionals, with the level and responsibilities tailored around your experience.

The Role

Working as part of the NPD team, you will be involved in the development, redevelopment and launch of new and innovative food products, working closely with customers and internal teams across Production, Technical and NPD. Depending on your level of experience, responsibilities may include:

• Supporting the development of new products from concept through to launch.
• Creating and amending recipes, product specifications and submission documentation.
• Supporting customer briefs and product presentations.
