Job summary

LGC Clinical Diagnostics seeks an experienced Programme Manager to lead New Product Development from concept to market launch. You will orchestrate cross-functional teams, align projects with strategic priorities and drive timely delivery of diagnostic solutions.

This pivotal role requires leadership, risk management and strong communication with customers and senior leaders. Applicants should bring a life sciences degree, 5–7+ years in programme management, and familiarity with Agile/Waterfall;

Qualifications

• Degree in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences or related field.
• 5-7+ years in programme or project management in life sciences, medical devices, diagnostics or pharma.
• Proven success delivering complex cross-functional projects or programmes.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, etc.
• Budgeting, risk management and collaborator engagement experience.
• Outstanding leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• PMP certification or equivalent is desirable.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and supply chain processes is an advantage.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end programme plans for complex NPD projects aligned with priorities.
• Lead cross-functional teams to bring new products to market efficiently.
• Manage timelines, resources, budgets and collaborator expectations.
• Coordinate full product development lifecycle from ideation to launch.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks across the programme lifecycle.
• Collaborate with customers and senior leadership.
• Analyse market needs and customer feedback to inform strategy.
• Track KPIs and promote continuous improvement.
• Deliver progress updates to senior management and partners.
• Champion clear, consistent communication across teams.
